What is the difference between “smap” and “SMAP™”?
A “smap” is a dynamic, interactive systems map based on our universal language to describe and communicate systems, whereas “SMAP” is the name of the software used to create and navigate smaps.
How is SMAP different from other graphic software?
SMAP transforms confusion into clarity by turning any subject into a dynamic, contextual, interactive, and integrated visual system, known as a smap. You can create smaps yourself or partner with AI to do it faster, then navigate and investigate your own perspectives and those of others.
How do I learn to build smaps?
The first time you access your account, an onboarding guide explains the core skills required to become a proficient smapper. This guide is also available from the toolbar's HELP menu, as well as video tutorials.
Do I own the smaps I create?
Absolutely, you retain full ownership of all your smaps. You may also transfer ownership of any smap to another party at any time.
Is there a limit to the number of smaps I can create?
No. You can create an unlimited number of smaps and even interconnect them into networks of systems knowledge, from a bird's-eye view down to the most detailed aspects of a system.
Can I share my smaps?
Yes, you can share any smap privately with others to collaborate in context. Each party can be assigned a specific role such as manager, editor, commenter, or simply viewer. When you are ready, you can expand your audience by embedding the smap in your website.
What if I experience a technical issue?
Some issues can be resolved simply by clicking the browser's Refresh button. If you believe that you found a bug, or if you need any kind of support, please use our CONTACT page and we will get back to you promptly.
How can I cancel my account during or after the free trial?
Simply open the ACCOUNT dialog from the toolbar's USER menu, then expand the DANGER ZONE section and click CLOSE ACCOUNT.
Will I lose all my smaps if I cancel my subscription?
Your personal information and all your smaps will be deleted when you close your account, but you will be given a chance to export your smaps first, so that you can reimport them into another account later. You can also transfer ownership of your smaps to another user before closing your account.
How do I get the educational discount if my email address does not end in .edu?
Contact us at sales@maporium.com so that we can verify your teacher or student credentials.
What if my payment card expires or becomes invalid?
Your access to SMAP will become limited to viewing your smaps as soon as your next payment due is rejected, until you open the ACCOUNT dialog from the toolbar's USER menu and make a payment.
How can I change my email address, billing cycle, name, organization, and so forth?
Your can change anything about your account or profile by opening the ACCOUNT or PROFILE dialog from the toolbar's USER menu. Changing your email address will automatically adjust your educational discount if your old or new email address ends in .edu.
